*All adopters must complete the adoption process including having an approved adoption application. Friendly reminder, adopting an animal is a lifetime commitment!*

*Adoption Fee Sponsorships are not for a specific animal. The funds will be placed in a daily pool and approved adopters will adopt their new best friend on a first come first serve basis. Any sponsorship funds not used for adoption by September 10, will be transferred to the medical fund at CBHS.*

About Cedar Bend Humane Society

Cedar Bend Humane Society is a nonprofit 501c3 organization, accredited by the Better Business Bureau, and the only full-service animal shelter in Black Hawk County. Animals placed on the adoption floor have no time limit and every effort is given to find them a loving home. They are provided with medical attention, shelter, a comfortable living space, enrichment items, and are advocated for until they find their forever families. CBHS also offers many services to the direct benefit of both the animals and people in the community.

About Clear The Shelters

Clear The Shelters™ / Desocupar Los Albergues® is an annual, nationwide pet adoption campaign that is spearheaded by NBCUniversal Local, a division of NBCUniversal. Every year, NBCUniversal Local’s NBC and Telemundo owned stations, plus affiliated stations, partner with animal shelters and rescues in their communities to host Clear The Shelters events. NBCUniversal Local’s Clear The Shelters campaign was inspired by a 2014 North Texas pet adoption event hosted by NBC 5 / KXAS and Telemundo 39 / KXTX and dozens of area shelters that resulted in the most adopted pets in one day for North Texas. Since 2015, NBCUniversal Local’s Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign has resulted in more than a half-million pets finding new homes.
