The Cedar Bend Humane Society is currently accepting applications for Board Members! Applicants must have a passion for animals and be willing to advocate for the stray, neglected and unwanted cats and dogs of the Cedar Valley!
The CBHS is looking for individuals that are interested in working as an active team member to help educate the community about responsible pet ownership, and assist with raising funds which allow the shelter to provide humane care for all animals under its protection.
This is a volunteer position requiring approximately five hours of time dedicated to CBHS each month. We are currently seeking candidates with previous Board and fundraising experience!

Kennel Attendants are needed to work various weekday and weekend shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Must be able to work 4 to 5 weekend days per month. 20-35 hours per week. Duties include, but are not limited to: feeding animals, cleaning, and maintaining indoor and outdoor areas of facility. Must be capable of handling large dogs. Adoption Counselors are needed to work various weekday and weekend shifts between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and Thursday and Fridays through August until 7:00 p.m. Must be able to work 4 to 5 weekend days per month. 25-30 hours per week. Must be capable of handling large dogs. Strong customer service skills required.
