Surrender a Pet

Due to the overwhelming number of stray dogs and cats currently in our care, we do not have any available kennels to accept owner surrenders and are temporarily suspending owner surrender intake services.

We are still accepting stray animals from all contracted entities. For more information, please visit our Lost & Found Pets page.

For emergency situations involving an owned pet, please contact our team for guidance.

We understand that sometimes circumstances change and rehoming a pet becomes necessary.

We are sharing Adopt-a-Pet’s Rehome program as an additional resource to help pet owners connect directly with potential adopters and find a new home for their pet.

CBHS has a referral code available that provides 90% off the listing fee for those using the program.
