Dear friends of Cedar Bend Humane Society,
Thank you for your patience and support during this challenging time. All of the staff at Cedar Bend Humane Society is working diligently to implement new protocols and measures to ensure that we can continue giving the homeless animals in our community the care they deserve. Our focus will be to continue to provide our animals with top-notch care while prioritizing the health and safety of our staff and the community.
Here are updated changes that we have made to our programs and services offered: UPDATED 5/8/2020
>>> Cedar Bend Humane Society has made the tough decision to close due to the recommendations from community leaders and health officials in response to the rising concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Those entering the facilities are now required to be wearing a face mask & have their temperature taken. Otherwise we ask that all business will be conducted from your vehicle.
We would not exist without the continued support from our amazing community. We appreciate each and every person who takes the time to share our stories, gives even a single dollar to help fund our mission, selflessly gives any time or effort to assist us in the work we do, and who opens their hearts and homes to rescue animals in need. CBHS is grateful to be a part of the Cedar Valley, and we hope to restore our services back to the community as soon as it is safe to do so.

We're Here to Help
It is our top priority to make sure we are able to continue to care for all of the needy animals in our community, and that care extends to our pet-owning families. City of Waterloo and Cedar Falls Animal Control Services have partnered with CBHS to provide pet food delivery to elderly citizens or persons not able to get out to pick up food for their pet.
>>> If you find yourself in an emergency situation with your pet or are experiencing financial hardships and struggling to afford pet food, please contact CBHS at 319-232-6887 to see if we can be of any assistance.
From all of us at Cedar Bend Humane Society, we hope that you and your family are staying safe during this difficult time. Please watch our social media outlets and website for future updates. We appreciate your patience and support. We could not do this without you.
