The adoption fee for cats starting July 1st, 2017 will be $35, down from $80. Spay and neuter deposit may apply. It is the mission of the humane society to place animals in lifelong, loving homes. CBHS hopes the reduced adoption fee for the year will allow more cats to find homes.
CBHS offered $20 cats in June. The community response was very encouraging. Over 135 cats were adopted during the month. Cedar Bend Humane Society hopes by offering a lower adoption fee throughout the year, adoptions will increase, kennel space will become available, and the number of cats euthanized will decline.
The adoption center, located at 1166 West Airline Highway, Waterloo, is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, and Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for June, July and August. The Adoption Center is closed on Monday. Adoption applications may be filled out online at www.CedarBendHumane.org.
