Electra

More/Less

MY STORY: Electra was brought to Cedar Bend after being found as a stray.

AGE: Electra is about 18 months old.

MY STRENGTHS AND CHALLENGES: Electra is a high energy girl who is in need of some TLC. When Electra arrived, she was very underweight. Since arriving, she has put on weight, and she is beginning to feel more like a normal dog. Electra appears to do well with most dogs, however, she may be overwhelming for some smaller dogs. Electra should not live with cats.

WHAT TYPE OF HOME AM I SEARCHING FOR: Electra is looking for a home that is willing to help her put some more weight on her small, thin body. It is unclear where Electra came from, however, it was clear that she was not being fed the proper food. Electra should meet all people in the home to assure that her energy level is not overwhelming for anyone.

Adoption fee: $190 - Adoption fee include spay/neuter, vaccinations, worming, microchip, and a start on flea/tick prevention.

More/Less

MY STORY: Cleo was brought to Cedar Bend after her previous owner was no longer able to take care of her.

AGE: Cleo is about 6 years old.

MY STRENGTHS AND CHALLENGES: Cleo is a quiet girl who needs someone willing to be patient with her. She can be timid and shy, especially with strangers. She becomes very submissive, and prefers a quiet environment. Cleo appears to do well with other animals, and may even feel more comfortable with another dog in the home.

WHAT TYPE OF HOME AM I SEARCHING FOR: Cleo is looking for a home where she can feel confident and secure. She feels very insecure currently, and needs someone patient and willing to help her build her confidence. This will take time. Cleo may be overwhelmed with small children, especially while adjusting to a new home. It may be best if Cleo lives with older children and adults.

Knuckles

More/Less

MY STORY: Knuckles came to Cedar Bend after his previous owner was no longer able to keep him.

AGE: Knuckles is about 3 years old.

MY STRENGTHS AND CHALLENGES: This sweet boy has a silly and loving personality. He is very smart, and knows lots of commands! He is also bell trained to let his favorite humans know when he needs to go outside to the bathroom. Knuckles was not raised around other animals or children, so it is difficult to determine how he would do in a home with them. Knuckles should meet any children or animals in the home prior to adoption.

WHAT TYPE OF HOME AM I SEARCHING FOR: Knuckles would love to find a home where he could be the center of attention! He loves to have all the eyes in the room on him; he is a ham! He is fairly easy going, however, his previous owner said he responds to people's emotions. They also said he loves to go for car rides with the windows open, he enjoys going for walks, and he loves bath time! He is truly a goofy boy!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A few months before Knuckles was surrendered, he had a severe food allergy. His fur on his rump and back have been thin ever since. It is unclear if this fur will grow back in these areas, however, the staff is hopeful. Knuckles has been on a strict diet, which will hopefully prevent any future allergy break-outs.

Adoption fee: $190 - Adoption fee include spay/neuter, vaccinations, worming, microchip, and a start on flea/tick prevention.

Tork has done great with other dogs, and loves to play and romp. He doesn't appear to do very well with cats, and would likely chase them if given the opportunity. Tork would likely do well with children who would play in the yard with him. All children should meet Tork to assure his energy level is not overwhelming.

WHAT TYPE OF HOME AM I SEARCHING FOR: Tork is looking for a home that has a big yard to play in! If Tork is going to be in a fenced in yard, it is suggested that the fence be at least 7 feet tall; Tork has been known to jump short fences. Tork should meet any dogs in the home prior to adoption.

MY STORY: Remy was brought to Cedar Bend after not getting along well with the family's cats in the home.

AGE: Remy is about 4 years old.

MY STRENGTHS AND CHALLENGES: Remy is an active dog who has a high desire to play with other animals. This being said, she loves people! Remy's previous owners noted that she does very well with house training, and will often let someone know she has to go outside. One struggle that Remy has, is that Remy does not do well riding in a car. MY STRENGTHS AND CHALLENGES: Walter is an older boy who wants to find a home that has someplace soft for him to take long naps. He is a guy who loves to get scratches, and seems to do well with adults and mature children. He can occasionally be dominant when around other dogs, however, it is only to let them know that he is the boss. He should meet any dogs in the home prior to adoption. It is unknown if Walter has some hearing problems, or if he has selective hearing. He occasionally would rather do his own "Walter" thing, and not listen every once in a while. Bart

More/Less

MY STORY: Bart was brought to Cedar Bend from a partnering animal rescue organization based out of Kansas.

AGE: Bart is about 2 years old.

MY STRENGTHS AND CHALLENGES: Bart is a high energy boy who can be nervous and head shy. Fast movements sometimes make Bart nervous. Bart appears to become very excited when other dogs are around, however, his energy may be overwhelming for some other dogs. Bart should meet all dogs in the home prior to adoption. Bart should not live in a home with cats; he chases cats when given the opportunity.

WHAT TYPE OF HOME AM I SEARCHING FOR: Bart is looking for a home that can handle his energy and size. He weighs about 70 pounds, and needs basic training. He can be mouthy on occasion, needs basic leash training, and would do best in a home with adults. He struggles with identifying personal space, and needs basic training to help him identify boundaries.

Adoption fee: $190 - Adoption fee include spay/neuter, vaccinations, worming, microchip, and a start on flea/tick prevention.

Raymond

More/Less

MY STORY: Raymond came to Cedar Bend from a partnering animal rescue organization based out of Oklahoma.

AGE: Raymond is about 18 months old.

MY STRENGTHS AND CHALLENGES: This boy has a big heart full of love! He is very outgoing and loves to spend time with people. Raymond has done well with other dogs, and has done well with cats while at the shelter. He appears to have a lot of puppy energy, and would love a big yard to run in! Although he has a decent amount of energy, he does calm down quickly and relaxes. He has been wonderful with people of all ages while at the shelter, and would likely do well in a home with children!

WHAT TYPE OF HOME AM I SEARCHING FOR: Raymond is looking for a home that will give him a lot of love and snuggles! While he loves people, he also loves food and treats. He is very treat motivated and loves to learn new tricks. He has had minimal interest in toys while at the shelter, and would rather be petted or snuggled by staff, volunteers, or visitors to the shelter. He is a wonderful boy that wants to find a home, soon!

Adoption fee: $190- Adoption fee include spay/neuter, vaccinations, worming, microchip, and started on flea/tick prevention.
