MY STORY: E.T. arrived to Cedar Bend in very rough shape. He had a large wound to his face and eye, and was very matted all over his body. It was not until later that the staff at Cedar Bend discovered his genetic abnormalities and neural condition.
AGE: E.T. is about 3 years old.
WHAT TYPE OF HOME AM I SEARCHING FOR: E.T. would do best in a home with older children or adults. He is a unique kitty that appears to have some genetic abnormalities. Unlike most felines, E.T. has three toes on each foot. He also appears to have a slight shake in his hind-end which is caused by a genetic, neural condition. He has a slight balance issue due to this genetic abnormality, however, it does not slow him down. He uses the litter box without problem and gets around like a champ! It is unclear if E.T. would be able to jump/climb stairs or furniture. This being said, E.T. may need to be kept on one level of a home to accommodate his disability. E.T. is a true sweetheart and loves to get chin scratches. He is a little scruffy looking, but he will win your heart over with his charming personality!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: E.T. has a genetic/neural abnormality which causes his hind end to shake when he walks. He does not appear to be in any pain, however, he does appear to have a slight balance issue. E.T. also only has 3 toes on each foot, opposed to 4. This may have a slight impact on his balance.
