The Cedar Bend Humane Society is joining with Danielle Wagner to host the very first Cubbies' Dog Walk. This walk will be the shelter's 17th annual Walk-A-Thon and traditionally is the single largest fundraiser for CBSH. This event alone helps provide for the nearly 10,000 animals that enter our facility each year -- the number may ben even higher in 2008 due to the natural disasters in the area. The public is encouraged to bring their own dogs to walk however there will be many of our resident dogs to walk as well. There will be food, games, raffles, and prizes all to benefit the homeless animals of our community. Registration forms!!! Other options to aquire a regristration form are at Taylor Vet, DenHerder Vet or PETCO. You can also email Danielle Wagner at dwagner@kwwl.com. Regristration fee before September 2nd is $25, there after it will be $35.

Bring the whole family and your pet(s) to the Cedar Bend Humane Society's first annual fund raiser, PAWS FOR A CAUSE at Simpson Furniture, downtown Cedar Falls. The line up of events are: 9am-3pm CBHS adoption animals will be there for meet and greet session; 10:30 story time with local author, Maribeth Boelts as well as a book signing; 12-3pm Walden Photography will be available for pet pictures, cost $5 per picture; UNI Panther Fever will have Panther gear for you and your pet (Go Panthers!!!); Silent Auction; Microchip Clinic; 9am-2pm enjoy some tasty food, 1-2pm Pet Contest, registration form and entry fee required, generious prizes to be won!!! Please come; fun for the entire family!
